These young men that did all these things do not deserve what they have gained from the fans that yell for them from the stands for making shots that could win a game for their teams, but at the same time it does not give them the right to think that they are above the law. That also goes for anyone that feels that way, but this thread was about Chris Jackson's not respecting his country not them and their non-respect for the law. Yea, I respect anyone's right but just stand, that does not mean you have to agree with some of things that his country does or does not do according to his, your's or anyone's rights. There is a better place and stage for that and that is with the impact in your community, make your feelings known then and also by voting against those that do not have the same stance on what needs to be done or not. But, not to stand just out of respect to that flag and for what it means because of those who faught died so that he could have the very right to do what he did. All I was saying had to do with respect, not with respect for him having the right not to pay that respect for those who paid with their lives for him to have that right. At the same time he wants us to give him respect for doing what he did, go to another country and see what he might get for showing that none respect to his country and see what happens, he might just pay with his life for not showing that respect. That my dear friend is the big defference between this country and your freedom and the country else where that does not allow you that freedom.
Here he gets to build a name forhimself on the basketball court in order to show his indeference and there he might have to strap a bomb to his chest and pull the triger that sets it off in order to build a name forhimself. Now, you choose whitch you had rather have, the sports star or a mortor by death. To me it would not be to big of a choice but, to him it seems that he doesn't think that he is big enough of a star. He just may have put himself in a place that is going to leave him on the outside looking in, but, he made the choice not me and it is no skin off my back, or in his place no jersey hanging from the rafters of the PMAC. What a shame, what a shame and he did great things while at LSU too, what a shame, no one to blame but himself.

He still lives on the Ms. Gulf Coast, while playing basketball overseas. I don't agree with his politics, but I have met him several times and he is a super nice guy and very respectfull. He has a great family that he takes care and he worships the ground they walk on.

Isn't there more to this story? I thought he did some kind of think to help him focus before a game with whatever little werid quirk he had. He has also gotten alot of shite before this event?

He should just come back and appologize. He made a mistake with the way he illustrated his idealistic veiws about the way he THOUGHT the world should operate.
