Box score tells a lot, plenty of upsides in this game but more of the same stuff that hurt the team all year, like
- missed FG was the difference to an overtime game
- time of possession was 17 minutes in favor of Houston (another worn out defense)
- only 77 rushing yards
- 100 yards in penalties
- 1 lost fumble
- QBR of 87 vs 93.6 for Houston
- 0 sacks for LSU vs 4 for Houston.
- big outliers are the huge return yards for LSU which has been missing for several years
All in all, LSU finally got the passing game going, but again couldn't run, couldn't keep defense off the field, defense kept other team in the game with penalties, kicking let them down, yada yada But there wasn't any quit in this team, excited for next season. Geaux Tigers
I look forward to 2026
