They pretty much were unanimous in saying of all the p5 1st year coaches that O's in toughest situation to succeed. Cited the west, all the defensive losses, ? If etling can get it done and overall schedule as the reasons. Just thought with all the talk after miles left about the potential juggernaut Lsu could be etc etc that Texas or Baylor would be tougher.

Link?

How did they define success?

Success this year for LSU is 10+ wins. That's really hard.

Success for Texas is 8. Challenging but doable.

Success for Baylor is 6. They can easily swing that in the Big 12.

Heather sounds like she takes a few Valium right before every podcast. Hard to listen to.

Thank you for not starting another thread that insinuates that we, as fans, can somehow affect the decision on where our game 1 will be played.

I didn't catch the commentary, but I'm in agreement that Orgeron is in a very good position to make a long, effective tenure at LSU happen. This is his year to prove what he has learned (or not) from his previous HC stint and both his interim stints.

It's obvious that he wanted the job more than any other viable candidate. And he inherits great talent on both sides of the ball, stellar position coaches, the best DC in CFB, and he hired a brilliant, up-and-coming offensive coordinator.

Nobody knows what to expect, including us fans. And the facts show that both Canada and Aranda historically have varied their play calling, depending on personnel availability, from game to game, quarter to quarter, and even play to play. So it will likely remain true that nobody will know what to expect from the Tigers on the field, even after they scout us and study film.

We're in a good spot. Let's see what our staff can make happen now.

He's in a great situation long-term. Maybe not short-term, but only relative to expectations. There was not the complete staff overhaul and he inherited the most talented team--by far--of any of the new coaches. He won't have the typical honeymoon period and will expected to succeed immediately. Which I think he will.
