I never said I had any. But if you want to dispute the claim, showing last years numbers proves nothing for this year.
it can give somewhat of an idea of what the numbers could look like, as attendance numbers probably aren't too far off. i never said it proved anything, but it certainly gives some perspective to the situation.

Once again, show me a figure that proves the bball team is losing money THIS year
Dumas', is basketball season over yet?
How can you tally the actual dollar figures during a season?
If LSU shows a profit for 2010/2011 Basketball, it will mean someone put the money for the "New Football Parking Permits" in the Basketball column.

Maybe it gives some perspective. But it wouldn't surprise me at all if the program was losing money this year. Attendance seems to be down and there is even less interest in the program. It literally can't get much worse.

well i was just responding to you that said the program was in the red, so how bout you aim these comments at yourself? k thanks. btw, lsu has a fairly substantial television contract for basketball, so if lsu were to break even, no i wouldn't be shocked

Wait til next year.......at this point even if we are halfway decent it will take more than half the season before anyone wants to come out and see it.
For a struggling team, you would think Trent would try to sell the program to the public somehow. Why is it we can't have Midnight Madness? Especially if it falls on a football weekend, it could generate some interest. Instead we're stuck with a boring coach and a team with about the 3rd of 4th best talent in the state.

it's a fact that LSU is at all times run by/ coached by people unqualified for the job.

FACT: The baseball team hasn't made as much money this season as they did last year. Plus, they haven't won a national championship in almost 2 years!
We as LSU fans shouldn't stand for this atrocity and should demand the resignation of the coach and the AD immediately!

Is this a secret something in Germanton, TN.? It's not in Baton Rouge, LA.

Yes it's a package deal. How do last minute unscheduled teams, end up being picked up by networks? Has this happened to a Trent Johnson coached team, the past 2 seasons?

Or
You could just keep defending whatever it is you're defending, until the new PMAC Super Walmart arrives..

Seventeen of LSU's 20 sports programs participated in post-season competition in 2009-10, including the Tiger football squad that played in a bowl game for the 10th straight season. Six LSU teams posted Top 10 national finishes last season, and 12 were ranked among the Top 25. LSU finished in the Top 20 of the Learfield Director's Cup rankings, which measure overall athletic success for institutions across the country.
Under Alleva's direction in 2008-09, all 20 LSU sports competed in NCAA post-season play for the first time in school history, and it culminated with the baseball team winning the national championship. In addition, six teams finished in the top 10 nationally. LSU was the only school in the Southeastern Conference to participate in a bowl game and the men's and women's NCAA basketball tournaments during 2008-09. Furthermore, LSU student-athletes volunteered a total of 2,360 hours for community service projects.

I believe this sums up this thread pretty well....

Those years don't count, he was doing it with Skip's coaches and players

Posted on 2/21/11 at 10:24 pm to Tigerfan7218
But Skip never managed to do it...

This looks pretty good to me

Skip won 5 National Championships for LSU, and hired the Football & Baseball Coaches who won National Championships.
Alleva hired Trent.

Skip also hired Smoke Laval and Pokey. How'd those work out for us? Point being that you can't say Alleva sucks because of his first hire
Posted on 2/21/11 at 10:38 pm to UVALAW2014
He is doing a damn fine job replacing the windows. Give Joe a break and let him get the asbestos out of the stadium dorms before you look for flaws

He hired Mainieri and LSU used to have Women's Final 4 type teams with Pokey.

You can try to hide it, I suppose. With LSU Basketball not even showing up on the sports radar now..

I mean, Trent will either work out or he won't here. I'm just saying basing anything off of one sample is not accurate in anything. LSU Football lost to UF in 2003, does that mean UF was a better team than LSU that season? That's all I was trying to say, gotta have a larger sample size before judgements can be made
