I actually enjoy baseball and this team is a stellar one....they are a hell of a lot of fun to watch and something to be proud of....
However, the fact is, what happens during the regular season is really not very relevant in the scheme of things....like basketball, the only thing that really has any bearing on the success of the season is the last few games of the season and the tournament....
I'm afraid the same thing will happen to football once a playoff system is implemented...

So college football is the only sport you will watch during the regular season? It is the only sport that doesn't decide a champion with some type of playoff.
You do realize that whether or not LSU hosts a regional and Super regional is vitally important to their chances of making it to Omaha, right? Regular season success sets you up for postseason success, its just up to the team to take advantage of their chance. LSU didn't do that last year. Hopefully this year is a different story.

I follow baseball only when they are winning. Baseball is boring especially with these crappy new BBCOR bats. The exception is the end of the year when the games get more interesting. There is more on the line at that time.
