So i guess you consider tasmin mitchell an outside player too. He can be, but he plays more near the rim. When your top two scores are the two F who start for you, you are a inside out team. Regaurdless if one of the players steps out and shoots threes.

I like the match up; I hope we can defend Howard though.

I consider him a strong 3 who can also post up because of his size.

For the THIRD time. THEY PLAY FOUR GUARDS basically. Their 6'8 200 pound GUARD/FORWARD is an OUTSIDE player mostly.

A 4 guard team IS NOT A TEAM BUILT INSIDE OUT.

It's really not that bad of a matchup inside. He is not tall nor very large. He is a good scorer but not a great scorer. He doesn't rebound very well or block a lot of shots. We've seen a lot more dominant big men than him this year.

That being said QT would matchup very well with this guy.

Ok let me rephrase. Go look at the ppg break down. They get a good bit of points in the post. I get your point that they basically play 4 gaurds, but they have a big man that can score. Vernado only averaged 13.1 points per game this year and torched us.

They only have 1 post player dude, I don't know how else to tell you this.

Their 6'8, 200 pound G/F has taken 146 threes this year and is their best 3 point shooter by a long shot. He is an outside player.

At any rate. Tasmin Mitchell for us should have a huge game whether they use their short or weak 3 to guard him.
i agree 100%

I think this is a good match up for us from a size perspective. As I posted on an earlier thread, butler's style is similar to Vandy. These guys are well coached and are fundamentally sound. They will cut well to the basket, utilize screens and will defend well in the half court. I feel this game will be in the 50s(LSU 55-51). We will need to be extremely discline on defense and chase these guys off the three point line. They will also board well defensively. Team defense will be huge and I think we will need to be patient on offense.
