First of all, that's more on Frank Wilson. Secondly, the more I hear about GW, the happier I am that we didn't land him.

Where has our D-Line been a weak point the last few years?
We lose Bennie Sam Downs and Mingo, and Now we Lose Ego and Freak.
Only one of these didn't see the draft.
Saying a GWIII will start and dominate behind 7 ish other DT shows you are A.) not a fan B.) bandwagon C.) 12 D.) ect.
All of the freshmen that took a RS and the sophomores who took a year to grow will be back. We will have a 2/3 Deep DLine next year.
The 2012 D-Line was nasty and I can promise you 95% of colleges would have killed for if.
2013 was a result of the draft and a few players not living up to expectations but I won't hold it against them because it's just a game and they still have time to develop.

Bring back Earl Lane! He made Glen Dorsey the player he is today.

I think there is a consensus that lately the line has been a bit underwhelming.
Are you referring to the voices in your head as the "consensus"?

And to miss out on recruits such as Gerald Willis, knowing he could be the starter from day 1, just adds to the fire.
Dear god.

We've had 1st rounders in Barkevious Mingo, Michael Brockers, and Sam Montgomery in the past under Haley.
One of those is not like the others.

Did you magically forget how good Brockers, Logan and Mingo were? I remember Mingo use to get thrown around on run plays all game in 2010 because he was a RS freshman. By the time he developed by 2012 teams couldn't run to the outside on his side very often due to his athleticism speed. The dude was a top 10 NFL pick and Montgomery would've been in the 1st if he knew how to shut his mouth. Brockers was a DOMINANT athletic DT and Logan was always consistent.
I agree Brockers was consistent. Logan was ok. Mingo was drafted on talent alone, was quick and could run players down but consistent as a pass rusher, no. He and Montgomery always tried to bull rush instead of using speed and got shutdown everytime. If you can sit there and say our D-line is good and consistent the last few yrs your a fricking idiot.

You lost me after this. You basically said, "I know we'e had a first round lineman in the past 2 years, but lately (the very next year) we don't"
I'm like Jackie Chan WTF moment right now.
Since 2010
4th rd Al Woods
3rd rd Drake Nevis
7th rd Pep Levingston
1st rd Michael Brockers
1st rd Barkevious Mino
3rd rd Sam Montgomery
3rd rd Bennie Logan
5th rd Lavar Edwards
That is impressive in a four year time period. Think about this for a second. Four of our DL was drafted in the top 5 rounds last year, FOUR! The one drafted in the fifth was a back up!

4.5 sacks in 2012? Sounds dominant to me. Not saying hes not good but he didnt go in the first round bc he had a breakout Junior yr you jackass

Sounds dominant to me

Mingo is still developing. He played 2 years of football before going to LSU. They developed him enough to be a first rounder...don't be an idiot and say LSU didn't help him.

I just had a weird daydream in which someone was actually wondering if Brick Haley is a good coach.

You don't make any sense, you find the stats to support your argument. He underperformed his whole junior season as did Montgomery but want to sit here and say he was drafted in the first round bc he was a beast his junior yr? No. He was drafted in the first round bc the sky is the limit for the kid, he has tons of potential and they saw him in the mold of a 3-4 Linebacker so suck an aids dick.
