Last night’s South Carolina team was atrocious. Might have played better in previous games but last night they were terrible.

Couldn’t be more excited TJ had a great game.

But I don’t think he has near the amount of success that Brennan has had if he plays in the games Brennan has.

TJ was throwing to WIDE OPEN WR’s most of the game. And under no pocket pressure.

Brennan has been dropping Burrow-esque dimes to WR’s with DB’s in perfect coverage.

Why everyone has clutched their pearls and run to the aid of Brennan just because Finley had a great night is strange to me. If Myles is a big boy, he can handle a little QB competition.

As well as TJ played, Brennan is the starter. There is really no question. Anyone who thinks otherwise does not understand football.

Most fans have a strong commitment to being right. I said all week that I thought MJ should play and didn’t have high hopes or confidence in TJ Finley. But he showed it on the field and proved me wrong, and I’m more than happy to admit it. He needs to be the guy, there is no ceiling with him and he seems to have all of the intangibles as well.

Yes Borrow has passed for more Yards and touchdowns per game. However Finley was much more efficient. It just “looked better as well.

Brennan 8.5 yards an attempt
Finley 12.6 yards an attempt.

I believe Finley would have carved MST, Vanderbilt and Missouri the same if not more than Brennan had.

It’s just an odd reaction to what should be a great night. The guy looks calm and collected in the pocket—every one says it’s because the o-line is playing it’s best game. He throws with some incredible zip? Everyone claims Myles has a better arm. He escapes the pocket and makes a great throw/read—well, Myles would’ve made it look better!

I guess I’m more of an LSU fan than a Myles Brennan fan

The yards per attempt is very telling, yes Brennan has thrown a ton of yards, but he has thrown a ton of passes, if the offense plays like it did in the 1st half in the second, Finley throws 28-32, with 428 yds and 4 tds. That is just doubling his first half numbers

Brennan has been good but being able to take the hits and stay healthy has always been a concern for him. He put on some weight but there’s only so much you can do and he’s obviously still got brittle bones under there. I don’t think he will ever be able to stay fully healthy for a whole season.

I’m responding to the overwhelming call for TJF to start by this board. That’s all.

Because you have some people saying Finley should be the starter and that Brennan needs to transfer.

The third conversions were telling.
Finley's pocket presence was outstanding. Yes, the OL did a great job of protecting him but he stood tall in the pocket when USC were applying pressure. He had a beautiful escape and roll out to hit Jenkins on a second and long.
Brennan should continue as starter. He's played well enough to keep his job and seems to be improving.

That is not true. Finley completed >80% of his passes and actually was a threat to run. He anticipated a lot of throws.
Who knows about the pick he had.

And I’m still starting Brennan because of experience with the system.
