Geaux247 take: Williams was one of the top big man transfers in the entire country after averaging 18 points and eight boards for McMahon’s Murray State team that cruised into the NCAA tournament. He has great touch around the rim and is the kind of big, physical body this team was missing before his addition.
F KENDAL COLEMAN

Geaux247 take: When LSU played Northwestern State in 2021, the Tigers didn’t appear to phase Coleman much at all as the then-freshman dropped 16 points with 13 rebounds. He would also post a double-double against Texas A&M last year and score 12 points against a very good Baylor team.
G JUSTICE HILL

Geaux247 take: Another one of the three transfers LSU added from Murray State, Hill will as the most likely candidate to win the starting point guard job, next to Adam Miller in the backcourt. Those two could play off one another extremely well as Hill can really space the floor but also get his teammates involved. He can be streaky with his jump shot but when it’s falling he’s deadly, with the biggest emphasis for him being his impact on both ends of the floor. Hill created a Net Rating of 22.4 last season because of his 96.1 defensive rating to go along with his productive offense.

As much as I thought basketball was going to be hard to watch this year. I have to say I'm a little excited again. I don't think they will compete for the SEC, but they should be at least respectable.
