You don't think the background of the accuser has any bearing on a case when it boils down to one group's word against another?
Edit: In the court of public opinion FWIW.
Not me. Maybe if he had a criminal record of violence or falsifying police reports or obstructing justice it would. Petty theft is petty after all.

Initially everyone heard marine rescued three strangers and got kicked in the face by a QB. Later we hear said marine had a criminal record, was out of uniform in a bar and beaten after earlier harassing his GF and fighting with another guy. The guy he fought with has no criminal record or history of trouble at all.
It sheds a different light on the situation for me but I have common sense, not everyone else has this apparently. Doesn't change what happened. It doesn't excuse the actions of the players or make the incident any less stupid or embarrassing.

Chabert said Wing entered a room where he was laying in bed and locked the door behind him. He then began questioning Chabert about his contact with an ex-girlfriend of Wing's.
Wing then swatted a cell phone out of Chabert's hands, threw him to the floor and began punching and kicking him, Chabert said in the application. The victim escaped and left the room before calling the police.
My my how this was just swept right under the rug by Miles and co.
And according to the faithful, if there is a restraining order was filed, he's probably guilty of stating fights all over the place.

Excuse me? Of course it was a bad decision. However there is obviously not enough evidence to charge Wing with any crimes.
In the JJ case, there is enough evidence for him to have been charged with 2nd degree battery.
One player was never charged, one player was/is charged with a felony. One player is starting on Saturday and the other is suspended. I will let you guess who is who.
We get it. In order for CLM to take action, charges must be pressed. In other words, if you can get away with it, you are cool with CLM.
