they win SEC title. Assume LSU and Bama win their next 3 games and LSU goes to the SEC title game and loses to Georgia. Are you going to reward Bama for losing to LSU at home and not playing an extra game in the SEC title game? No way.

Also, voters will likely pick a 1 loss (and Pac-12 championship game winner) Oregon (assuming they beat Stanford and UCLA) over a non-championship game playing Alabama. People have been bitching to the Pac 12 about the lack of a championship game for years. They're not going to take a 1 loss bama (to lsu at home) over a 1 loss pac-12 champion (loss to LSU in first game of season on neutral ground).

Unless somebody really screws the pooch (and I'm hoping it's not us v. Ark), Bama aint' going.

If Alabama is considered for the MNC game, they will only have to win three games to get there, while we will have to win four. Also, we would have to beat them twice to win it all, but they would only have to beat us once. In this senario, it was their advantage to lose on Saturday night.

Exactly, let them go play Georgia and not play an extra game that has the risk of injury.
