I think we came out really well, a lot better than we usually seem to do. We were able to keep 4 of the pitchers drafted, one being a 6th rounder, which should help immensely losing 4 pitchers in the offseason to injury or transfer. If Zach Lee wasn't the quarterback he was, I would have probably been pretty ecstatic on how things turned out. I don't want to even get into the football side of it because yeah it does suck, but as far as baseball goes, I think we came out great.

Baseball still came out great. Would have been awesome to have a top ten talent you didn't even have to use a scholarship on though.

Now that the class is finished, it turned out great for baseball.

You're right. Could have easily lost four other guys. If Eades can fully recover from his surgery by next spring then all four(Gausman,Eades,J. Jones,T. Jones) will probably contribute next season. Hopkins could be a contributor as well. Next year's team could surprise some folks IMO.

agree completely. We have great pitchers in this class and a couple of very solid position players. Some diamond in the rough guys also.

How many people on here actually believed that a starting quarterback could actually be the ace of a pitching staff? Has it ever happened before? I could never envision a starting quarterback being a starting pitcher. The biggest concern would be time to dedicate to each sport. The other would be if his pitching was good enough to make him a top 5 pick the money would be too good to pass up. If any other team had offered him this year, he would probably never even made it to campus.
