LSU has more talent. Ole Miss plays better as a team and makes fewer mistakes.
So it depends which LSU team shows up. If the Tigers are flat, Ole Miss is not Troy. Colonel Reb will be cheering, not crying.
If Tigers come ready to play, then it will depend on #12. If Lee is Pick Six Jarrett, bad news for the good guys. If Lee is second-half Auburn/Troy Lee, then Colonel Reb will be crying in his confederate hankerchief.
It's that simple.

Break each team's season down and tell me if you think Ole Miss fans are crazy for being confident this weekend?
Ole Miss has a good team this year. They had every break go against them against Vandy and Wake. They should have won those games IMO.
LSU played Bama tough? So did Ole Miss.

I hope LSU destroys them but looking at this realistically I think LSU will have to bring their A game just to win this one.

2.) Of course im a little worried but that doesn't change the fact that I still think we will win the ballgame. And I really could care less about your ranking, you were blown out by UF and UGA (who I think is overrated) still. If you weren't the defending national champions you probably wouldn't be in the top 25. I commend you for your comeback last weekend but that still doesn't change the fact that you were losing 31-3 at home to Troy.

It really isn't that far off pal...LSU is having an off year (3 losses). We were down 31-3 to Troy at one point. Ole Miss lost in the last seconds to Wake Forest and fumbled on the 1 yard line against Vanderbilt. I think they threw like 6 interceptions against South Carolina too. They took Alabama down to the wire and beat UF at home. They are literally a few plays away from being a 1 loss team. Houston Nutt always gets his teams to play up and they have a lot of talent. I actually think Ole Miss will beat LSU 35-24 (cringe).

south carolina was blown out by florida too....didn't they beat you guys? you can't go by how we played against UF and UGA and base this weekends game on it. if you don't think the team was over looking troy then i don't know what to tell you. that's their fault and i'm sure they won't do it again.

No LSU fan would have objectively looked at that game and said, "Troy is going to beat LSU"...

Look at 1997: LSU beat No. 1 Florida, and then gets beaten by Ole Miss. By this warped logic, Ole Miss was better than Florida.
