I'm with GeauxBrown. WE have 1AA schools in our state that have gone through the playoffs, and you certainly have to respect the competition at the highest level in that division. APP St is among the best. They just won't come close to beating us unless we come in flat and overconfident and then anything can happen. We may not beat them badly because I do not expect LSU to show much. Good luck to App St on their season thereafter!

"That's really not respectful...not of our football team, or children that really are in the Special Ed program. I'm more concerned about the children than the team."

Lighten up Francis...for what its worth gifted (i.e. freakin' brilliant) children are considered special needs according to the Federal Department of Education standards. Why do I know? My child fell into this category...she takes after her mother.

Commentary: For your own good LSU fans, you're entering the no-spin zone; live chat on Tiger football now under way

For the third consecutive year, Glenn Guilbeau of Gannett News Service will be voting in the Associated Press poll. His poll will appear with the weekly A.P. poll throughout the 2008 season.

Rank:
12. LSU: An average quarterback away from a No. 1 or No. 2 ranking and back-to-back national titles, but the best LSU will have at quarterback will be below average at best. The Tigers are strong everywhere else.

Sounds like you guy would like to have AE this year. Hope we keep it respectable. GO APPS!!!!

I too was a gifted and talented student all throughout school and was pulled out and as an education major I know that those programs are "Special Needs". Most people think of Special Ed as the mentally handicapped people though, which I do not appreciate the comments about. I'm pretty sure that they were speaking of the latter ones.

I also realize, can't remember who said this, that there is only a couple of idiots that use comments like this. I guess I really didn't mean the "you guys" part, just came out that way. I won't hold grudges for others just because of one or two people.
