The guy is a RS freshman and playing better than JR played his RS freshman year. He has all the physical tools to be a great pocket passer and will eventually be one of the best QBs LSU has ever had if he stays healthy and continues to improve.

He's still going to take his lumps but he's also been making some big plays for us to keep us in games.

He needs another year. It's apparent the pressure is getting to him. I will wear the moron badge, because I say "start Hatch."

He has happy feet worse than Matt Flynn. He can't check off receivers yet. He's to green.

Well the circumstances don't allow for that. He is the best option right now.

Hatch doesn't have the arm strength to get the ball down the field in the SEC. He's too one dimensional. He's been working fine coming in as a change of pace.

Clearly you're not being serious here. He's made some good throws staying in the pocket.

Yet, you want Hatch to start?

You could have at least thanked my mom for making them.

Lee has been better than I thought. He clearly needs to work on his stuff up the middle. I think it's pretty stupid to declare him to be the "future" as much as it is to call him a bust. Next year will be a better measure of Lee, the quarterback. Not fair to decide this year.

Hatch is a dual threat quarterback, he is only one dimensional because that is what Crowton is doing with him right now. He is, IMO, calmer in the pocket. And I do think that Lee gets flustered easily. You are right, when he gets flustered he doesn't run, he throws crappy passes. He needs some time to mature.

Hatch doesn't have the deep ball that Lee does, but Lee doesn't have the deep ball J Marc did. There is no reason Hatch can't be the place holder this year and then let Lee be the stud everyone wants him to be next year.

Personally, I think the SEC is about run-it-down-their throats football, not all passing game like the PAC-10. We need to up the running game. More short passes to Dickson and have Charles Scott and Keiland Williams run it.

I like the two quarterback system right now. Lee gets to come out and see the field without running for his life and can go back into the game with that knowledge (how the defensive backs are lining up, what they are doing after the snap, if safeties are cheating to one side or the other etc...) can come back into the game and make a good third down throw. We still need hatch but I reluctantly agree that Lee is probably the best overall option available until next year when he will have stiffer competition...JJ,RS, garret...

Help me here, being a girl, I never played football, but aren't the false start infractions caused by the o-line missing the cadence. I would think it would be hard for them to learn both quarterbacks timing and such. I hate the two quarterback thing. Miles needs to nut up and pick one. Even if it is Lee.

He has, and it is Lee. It is kind of like Arkansas lining up McFadden at QB in the wild hog formation. It is just a wrinkle when Hatch comes in the game.

They are really not giving Hatch a chance. Lee has yet to truly impress me. I hate interceptions, and those are sticking in my mind more than his completions. Oh, there was the one to Byrd.

Run the ball, we need to get back to running the ball.

I love the trick plays, but Hatch is a little more substance than a trick play once every other quarter.

Lee will be all SEC next year. He is a good QB, who will get a lot better.

They are not giving me a chance, either. And there is a reason for that.

Ha, ha! No, I thought Hatch came out and did a fine job until he got his bell-rung. I was almost physically ill they "had" to put Lee in after that first quarter he stunk it up. I will admit he pulled it together.

Now, Hatch is starring as RP as backup to J Marc, hand him the ball for a keeper up the middle. I guess they are using him.

Lee is still a rs freshman and hes doing a good job as of now and eventually will develop as a really good qb in the future.. is it me or does it seem like he always throws off his back foot and doesnt step into his throws?
