He didnt do it purposely it was just lucky
But his strike out w/ the bases loaded in the 8th was clutch, nobody saw him not swinging a a called 3rd strike.

That's my one complaint with the Tigers' approach at the plate. I played ball with and against professionals for many years and I can actually remember two times I took a called third - one an elevated four-seamer that the ump missed and the other a back-door slider that was within inches. I still wear a t-shirt that says "Life is too short to take fastballs down the middle".
