Sorry, he's before my time. The 80s guys I got listed are because I knew people that knew them. Sure there are a lot of other older players that deserve mention.

This list is really hard to get right due to changing area codes.
The entire state of LA was assigned the 504 area code in 1947.
In 1957, 318 was created and was basically everything West of the Mississippi River.
In 1998, Baton Rouge was moved to area code 225.
In 1999, area code 337 was added to SWLA
In 2001, area code 985 was created for parts of SE LA, outside of the NO metro area.
In 2007, some 985 residents were moved back to 504 due to Katrina & infrastructure issues.
This year, LA just received a new area code, 457 which will overlay the 318 region going forward.
So a true area code team will depend when each athlete graduated from high school.
