Vitale really does have a bone to pick with LSU. I wonder why? He is blatantly biased towards the blue bloods and smaller “basketball schools” (Gonzaga, UConn, Georgetown, St. John’s, Villanova) that it’s comical. It’s like he doesn’t want a predominately football powerhouse in the thick of it all.
I used to respect all of the notoriety and good publicity that he brought to the game of college basketball, but he’s really stuck his foot in his mouth concerning this issue.

I think the point you're missing is that he is in full support of Bill Self where he called for LSU to fire Will Wade, Self has 5 level 1 violations against him where Wade had 7. I guess those additional 2 violations make the difference in asking for one to be fired while supporting the other?

Of course, Pitino banged a lady in the side room of a public restaurant while he was married to a woman I'm sure Dick has met hung with, and hired hookers for recruits. The "he told me he didn't and I believe him take on that is so lame as to be laughable.
And yet he begged for Pitino to get a job recently - yeah we need that kind of dude to be a leader of young men!!
