Maybe Simon conferred with his attorney even before acting all prima donna / diva on the cop. By reading this Agent threatens legal action against police , it's just about what Simon got arrested for.

i would be willing to bet that it happened just like the officer said. Tharold probably said exactly what the officer said. He thinks he's a big shot now but i don't see him getting draffted at all.

I don't doubt that Simon was acting like a douche, but it didn't sound like his actions warranted an arrest.
It sounds like a classic case of the cop showing him who's the boss.

Doesn't matter who's right/wrong in this scenario. The fact that Tharold has had past struggles during his time @ LSU + this potentially being an issue will cause his stock to fall. Only person to blame is himself.
Oh, and nothing I had heard about him prior to this incident lead me to believe he is "an outstanding young man". Glad he's gone.

This is simply a PR move by his agent to mitigate draft damage.
