The fact that players like Toliver, Chad Jones, Al Woods, etc. are close to running out of eligibility without significantly contributing much yet.

These guys are fricking studs. You fix whatever is wrong with them and find a spot for them on the field.

And the constant running back rotation assuring no back gets in a rythmn.

and stop having to even make adjustments.

So your gripe basically is that Miles doesn't face enough coaches incapable of developing a good gameplan? Because any coach worth half his salary can give any team problems and force them to adjust.

Seriously...even when Bama "dominated" Georgia...they really didn't. Georgia was "" close to coming back in that game - Bama had to make late adjustments to score once more to kill the hope.

Um, no.

Paint your wagon whatever color you want it. 31-0 at the half...BAMA DOMINATED UGA. I don't care if UGA beat them 37-2 in the 2nd half. W and L. I have seen LSU be up on a great opponent by 3 plus scores at the half once - VA tech of '07.

This is all about games like:

Bama '07 - up early and by two scores. Don't let up.

UK '07 - Don't have Keith Zinger in on 3rd down and we win that game handily.

Really? State some examples of a lack of discipline. I think he is running a good program and gets rid of bad character guys. This is another example of someone spewing useless garbage and rumors.

1) Ricky Jean-Francois' comments to the media before Florida. NO WAY that happens under Saban. Shows a total lack of respect for his head coach by doing that.
2) Chest thumping while down four touchdowns at Florida. Again, NO WAY that happens under Saban. Unacceptable and a total embarrassment. Reminds me of something you'd see in the DiNardo years.
3) Defensive players openly questioning and yelling at coaches on the sideline. They obviously have no respect for their coaches.
4) Player arrests. More last summer alone than the entire 5 years combined under Saban.

Oh ok. Just because Miles isn't EXACTLY like Saban, he is just garbage. Who cares what Saban does. Miles does things is own way. I like that Miles doesn't go out to his press conferences and compare losses to Pearl Harbor and other disasters.

Say what you want about him, he knew how to cut bait when things weren't working out, and had no tolerance for loafing or poor performance. Isn't it a little absurd that instead of wondering who our next defensive coordinator will be, we aren't even sure IF Miles won't pull a DiNardo and tank the whole program because of loyalty to his friends?

#1 In The Wrong Standings
Another thing the arrest of running back Jimmy Johns did was push the Alabama football program to the top of Every Day Should Be Saturday (EDSBS)’s 2008 version of their infamous Fulmer Cup Standings. Of course, it took more than Johns to get the Crimson Tide the prestigious #1 ranking.

There have been 10 arrests of Alabama players since Saban took over as head coach including captain and All-SEC safety Rashad Johnson, who was arrested for disorderly conduct early this year; linebacker Prince Hall was suspended indefinitely in February; and then there was T.J. Elder, who made contributions to the Fulmer Cup Standings and effectively ruined his life.

Inability to recruit linebackers. IE Perry Riley, Kelvin Sheppard, and Jacob Cutrera.

Les gives people more chances than they deserve. This isn't just about Jarrett Lee throwing 7 pick-sixes, but for the last couple of years.

Last year, Jared Mitchell was dropping balls and not running correct routes, which contributed (but wasn't the only thing that caused) to a loss to Kentucky. When Early Doucet was out because of injury he put him in and for 4 games, he didn't perform. After Kentucky, he decided to try to put in Demetrius Byrd (which turned out pretty well for us didn't it?)

At the end of last year, Ryan Perrilloux. So many times he was involved with police and in the news about stupid stuff. Going into the casino with his brother's ID, allegedly part of a money counterfeiting, the Varsity incident. That put a bad face on a our program saying "you can make mistakes but I'll keep giving you chances to fix them"

Jarrett Lee this year too. For a few games this year, he performed sub-par (pick-sixes aside). Les went from the thing that was working for us, (pounding the rock) and just said, "throw it Jarrett". He is too young to be throwing that much in a game. Stick to what works and when someone is struggling, fix it, don't say, "maybe next week" every week.

His public speaking skills are horrible. He comes across as a goof, but he is a very smart man. I have seen many people that do this on purpose so that other underestimate them. I have always wondered if Miles does this or if he just cannot speak in public.

I disagree with this. Just b/c we don't always blow teams out doesn't mean he has no killer instinct. When he first arrived, I would agree he would "let of the gas" but for the past couple years, he keeps on going.

Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio St among others he just kept scoring, throwing the ball, faking punts, etc to score more points.

ETA: My biggest gripe is his personnel decisions overall. Scott gettingp pulled vs. UK last season, Flynn playing every game on a clearly injured ankle, Toliver still behind the Mitchells on the WR depth chart, McCray somehow continuing to get on the field over some of the other talent we have and countless others...

Depends if you think dividing the team and testing positive for cocaine use more than once is a problem.
