He is under contract. Honor the contract or don’t and get fined.
He isn’t violating the contract. He’s just making it known he wants out. The Jets can do with that what they wish.
He can do wtf he wants to

I see the seahawks in his future. Would be a perfect fit there with his love for the game. Would have a good run at a SB too.

I would not because he essentially isn’t going anywhere for 2 years plus the tag.
It isn’t madden. There’s an actual locker room to manage and players take note of everything going on
If a 24 year old 2 time all pro safety doesn’t get taken care of and they try to play hardball, not only does that ruin that relationship with that player, but it tells all the other players in the locker room that this isn’t the place to be long term and isn’t the place where they will take care of their best players
The best organizations in the league prioritize their home grown talent and keeping that talent over the long haul

Yeah that’s why the Pats don’t give out big contracts to people other than Tom Brady and BB wanted his arse gone 2 seasons ago for Garoppolo.
Not all organizations are the same. It’s called having an established system to follow to win. Great organizations understand this better than others.
