A positive for the future: good QBs mentor future good QBs

Something that has been lost in analyzing LSU's QB woes is how important it can be for good college QBs to learn good habits and techniques by watching other QBs. Our chain of good QB play was broken when Perrilloux left and Jennings, who was present under Mettenburger, didn't pan out.
Having a guy like Brennan who is willing to stay and learn and having Burrow around to teach good techniques and habits will start a process of training and mentoring new QBs that we have been missing for a while.
Don't sleep on Brennan still being a great QB down the line, he will get his chance to learn and develop for sure.

Brennan has more arm talent than Burrow. If he can physically mature and absorb some of Burrow’s intangebles he will be great when he gets his shot.

I’m stoked about Brennan in the future but damn I am glad we have Burrow now. Some of those shots Joe took last night would have broken MB in half

No question.
The QB issue has been a viscous cycle at LSU.
Burrow, to me, represented the best shot at a paradigm changing player for this position in this program.
He had the best coaching available for over three years, and was physically and mentally prepared to take over this team. It’s been a long time since that could be said in Baton Rouge.
And with Brennan seemingly comfortable in the backup role and content to sit, learn, and grow both physically and mentally, this is an absolute perfect opportunity to bring this program back to the elite level.
The timing and fit was simply perfect, and Burrow has been everything we could have hoped for and more.
Hopefully he stays healthy because that is the only thing that could derail this train.
