Clyde was a fallback after we missed on Akers and were too late on Etienne.
This statement is 100% hogwash. CEH was committed to LSU for almost a full year before he signed with LSU; commitment date was 2/13/16 signed in February 2017. He was a take from the moment that Miles extended an offer to play at LSU. O may have pursued other backs when he became head coach, but CEH was in the 2017 class nonetheless and his spot in the class was never in jeopardy.

But they don’t come back for senior years if they come to LSU. Bama has a culture built on finishing the job and commitment to the team, LSU focuses on 3 and out.
Do you think 5 star nationally ranked number 1 recruits ride the pine for 2 years, have a breakout third year with high draft grade and then return for a senior season because of rah rah team bullshite? At running back and left tackle this year, for example. I can’t fathom in good faith how to retain such contributors.
ETA: frick them and their “culture.”
