It wasn't a good night at all in any event, or for anyone really. I don't know if that's good or bad. The only thing we can tell so far this season is that this team has a very high floor, we just don't know where the ceiling is for this team, and may not know for a while.

Other than the fault on bars - I thought the bar routines were amazing. Stuck landings. Vertical handstands. Nice height off the bar. It doesn't seem like other teams hold their handstands on bars as cleanly or as long as LSU does.

Watching the finals last year, there was one gymnast I wished we could steal for LSU. She was Anya Pilgrim from Florida. Seeing her again this year, I had the same feeling. She is steady, graceful, and talented. She has a great fluidity to her movements. And, this is in no way an insult to her, she seems to have very large hands. That serves her well in gymnastics. It gives her extra extension in her movements, a wider launch platform on vault, better grip on beam, etc.
