Arnold looked bad last night. Giovanni wasn't comfortable either, though he smoked one ball right at 2B for a DP. Would like a little more consistency from the bottom...Travinski worked a BB and lined out to RF. Not terrible AB's. But to9 be positive, good AB's from top of line up with some timely hits. And South Carolina has a pretty nice staff.

Gio also smoked one in his first AB that just hung up a second too long to left center

Yup. Forgot about that one....to me, ARnold was the only one who didn't have a good approach last night. Rest of the line up competed pretty well at the plate.

I believe gio would get more production lower in line up as well as Thompson. They are getting more difficult pitches higher up as we all know. The 9 hole is a head scratcher but pm don't have anyone else really.

Arnold was swinging it well to start the year and then Pulmonary yanked him from the lineup and didn’t give him swings against quality sec pitching. He is behind everyone else trying to figure out the better pitching

Roll out the same line up and see what they can do. My only apprehension comes from Travinski behind the plate. He makes me nervous defensively...especially when Marceaux has that breaking ball moving like he did last night. But he battled back there. Made a few nice plays, but let some pitches get away from him.

Who would you change them out with?

I'll hang up and listen.

Tonight we face another high strike out pitcher. Labas will have to be near perfect like marceaux was. Positive is sc batting is pretty bad coming in this weekend.

If you're talking to me, I said I'd roll out the same line up. I wouldn't trade out Travinski's bat for Millazo's defense right now. And I think you allow Arnold to get some ABs right now. Time to quit playing musical chairs with the positions.

who knows. The rest of team is about the same as far as execution and not having enough at bats etc....sad we in this predicament. I guess this is why we in 12th place in sec at moment?

Thompson is getting better every game
Beloso got on twice with a HR
Gio crushed two balls that were right at people
Travinksi at least got on once
Arnold didn't look good (he needs to get reps)

The right players are in right now

Agreed, time to let everyone get comfortable. Travinski's defense is heartburn inducing, but if his bat gets hot the bottom of the lineup could be something with Gio, Travinski, and Arnold who I think will come around if given some consistent ABs.

Maybe be quick to swap Milazzo in at the end of the game for defensive purposes, but that's about it.

I think for Marceaux you need to have Milazzo back there because his out pitch is the nasty breaking ball. Labas is a control pitcher that pitches to contact. Can get away with having your lesser defensive catcher back there.

I did like the intensity on the tag out by Travinski on the Thompson throw home. You don’t get that from Milazzo.

Sometimes you have to play with what you got and play good defense.
