I just want to see a competent passing game. If the offense gets 200+ passing and rushing a game then we should be able to win every game handily with our defense. We were able to get 13 wins last year with those rushing numbers and a lesser passing game. The added passing game should be the difference in that 14th game.

If I want to see a high powered passing offense I'll just watch the Saints.

Mett has talent, MUCH more than the previous two QB's. If you can't see it....not sure what to tell you.
I won't attempt to argue that until there's a larger sample size. From what I've seen and from all other accounts there doesn't seem to be any talent deficiency with Mett.

Now, if all it took to have a refined Pass O was superior QB talent, was the proving point.
The star rating of those Leach QBs were nothing special, so how did they ever manage Air Raid?
OSU's QBs are the same thing with the starpower (and offered JLee btw).
There must be a little more to it than talent and "If you can't see it....not sure what to tell you.".

Exactly. Anyone whom thinks we just plug in Mett on Jan9th and we win, don't know football. Pretty much every player on the offensive line was getting pushed backwards. JJ , a mobile qb , was running for his life. All game. Just changing the qb wasn't gonna make us 21 points better. Bama was the better team on Jan9th. They had nothing to lose and played like it.

Plugging in a quarterback may not have been enough for a win, but it would have done more than you suggest. First off, if Bama respects our passing attack, then they don't stack the box. This makes it easier to run and set up play action, which was our bread and butter all year. That being said the o-line play was sloppy and Mcarron played lights out which no one expected. But could a real quaterback have made the difference.. Certainly.

You clearly didn't watch a replay or don't know what to look for. Bama most certainly wasn't stacking the box. They were getting pressure with 7.
