Linebacker depth looks... not good.

God dammit I was hoping this was baseball

Looks good to me but why is strong behind baskerville? He's going to be starting for us or at least split playing time. Also, I think Johnson is going to be our starting qb. Jmho.

We are only going to play with 2 LBs 80% of the time, guaranteed. unless we find ourselves playing much more run heavy teams, which could be the case being that the SEC has really no proven QBs (don’t even get me started on Corral @ Ole Miss)
5 LB that will get plenty of PT.. Clark, Baskerville, Jones, Strong, and Small (and if you shite on Small your an idiot.. dudes been a dog on ST his whole career, 5th season as a Tiger, and was flying around in spring. He will be a great #2).
Then you got Sampah and White who were both highly recruited. I think Sampah will really step up this year behind Damone at Mike. Penn will become a force by 2022.

Strong is there behind Baskerville @ WLB. He will be a plug and play LB this year. He won’t be a starter though.
Everyone who shits on Clark is an idiot as well. Pelini taught them to hesitate. Coach Baker is gonna get him where he needs to be.
Damone Clark is gonna be Deion Jones 2.0 when it’s all said and done

OL depth is very weak
Dare really killed us there

Thanks Coleslaw, but I didn’t agree with some of yours. BJ won’t start over Anthony, and Clark ain’t moving outside. Ward is FS and Harris is SS. Neil and Glen will definitely be a starters (those 2 didn’t return to be backups, even if they are rotated out after the first series)

You good! I wanted to title mine as a discussion because I knew at least some of it wasn’t going to be accurate lol. Hyped for football season!

I’ve got a bad feeling about this unit going into the season. Development has been underwhelming and recruiting has been worse. Hope I’m wrong.

Cam Lewis is going into year #6. Even if Davis is more athletic, Lewis has a hell of a lot more game experience…
I think what some of you don’t realize is there is gonna be a big gap between our players and other teams.
A 22-24 year old just straight up has more strength, knowledge, and playing experience than some of these younger teams playing 18 and 19 year olds (rankings or athleticism doesn’t always beat the brain and experience)
Hell Andre Anthony is gonna be 25 the latter half of the season. Can you imagine him going against a Freshman tackle who’s 18-19 years old, it’s gonna be a joke.
We have 20 seniors on this team. We are going to absolutely dominate, mark my words

Defense will be filthy.
Depth on the offense line is a big concern. I think the other big concern is the 2nd playmaker on offense. Feel like we’ll need 2 game breaker guys to make a run at the natty

T Marshall said on OTB Jaray Jenkins is gonna be something special this year. I’d believe it, he’s waited his turn and looked really sharp at times last season. He had some big plays across the middle, I think he’s only gonna continue to elevate
I agree with OL though. We better pray everyone can stay healthy. Hopefully we can dominate enough in the first third of the season and rotate in backups to keep the starters fresh when our gauntlet approaches in October

Hopefully all the receivers and running backs elevate this offseason. Big opportunity with a lot touches for whoever can step up

Lot of 5 and 6 year players in the team. “Experience” is not the question for sure

It’s going to be a bad year at LB. that group looks ugly.
