North Carolina , Vanderbilt , and LSU ruled College Baseball in 2013 and neither of the 3 played for the title. Amazing how a team like UCLA gets a hit or two while other teams commits an error and the Bruins wins scoring 4 runs a game.

The excitement of the CWS has been compromised severely. A team batting .270 should not be winning the NC. I believe that LSU would win a 7 game series against UCLA if these games were played at Alex box and Robinson stadium. What we are witnessing now is a farce of college baseball.

What I am hoping has happened is that this is an odd year for the CWS. I have seen times when certain teams seemed to be "blessed" with all the "good" breaks, and that some of the best teams "fell flat on their faces." I remember when LSU was playing in the CWS and Warren Morris hit the Home Run. I remember several times when Bama and LSU played each other or other teams, and either team had a good break that seemed to be one of a plethora that enabled it to win the game, and then the National Championship. UCLA seemed to be a "blessed" team this year--yes, they made some mistakes, but these mistakes didn't hurt them, as some by other teams did to them. Even a stumble can be a good break in the long run, as it often gets the individual or team to refocus--look what the 6-3 loss to LSU a couple of years ago did for Bama. LSU did not come into the National Championship game that year with the right attitude--Bama did, as some of the LSU players were taunting the BAMA players, who just kept their focus and we all know the results. It just appears to me that there are few (if any) "givens" in sports--the 'should-of' and 'what-if' rehashes with which we involve ourselves will only be resolved as we learn to give and accept grace. All I can say is that eight teams, including LSU, at least had the opportunity to win it all. I do not consider it a failure to not win it all--LSU is still recognized as one of college baseball's elite--that's something we can be proud of.
