West Monroe is also the city's name. Robert Lane might be from that city.

No. He's from Monroe, the city where Neville is located.
Doesn't matter. Lane was committed to LSU for a long time. Saban tried to sneak Jamarcus in super late. Lane didn't turn in his paperwork until Jamarcus sent his. He was still committed to LSU on signing day. Jamarcus sent his in that afternoon and Lane flipped to Ole Miss. Obviously worked out well for LSU, but it was an underhanded move by Saban to try and sign 3 QBs without their knowledge.

Saban dgaff about high school qb feelings!!! Staff made the right call though.
Lane went to Ole Miss because he had done qb camps with Jamarcus and thought he was a "thug" and didn't want to compete with his arm talent as well. This was told to me back in 03 from a Neville graduate in same class with Robert, fwiw.

I had a kid that was recruited to play basketball at Byu. The kid loved the school and coaches, but the morality clause was a deal breaker. It goes way beyond no girls sleeping over. He was a good kid, but it is over the top if you aren't a 100% believing Mormon.
