X player is "committed" to Y school

I hate this "commit" shite that these recruits are allowed to do before they actually sign to a school, they aren't really "committing." I think it's all a ploy for all these recruiting sites to make money off of putting out information with VIP subscriptions and ads
As far as I am concerned, you are not a "committed" player until you put the pen on the paper, until then you are just another player looking around

The recruiting gurus interview these kids and push for a commitment every interview. One of them slips up and they are "committed". It's entirely to push their websites.

The vast majority of players that commit actually stay committed. It's the flips that get a disproportionate amount of attention.
