I think they can be, too. But you won't be able to turn it over 4 times, 1 for a td and win from here on out. Have to get rid of those. Too many stupid penalties too. 2 unsportmanlike conduct penalties is just inexcusable.

Thanks for the updates Rouge, wish STM would've won, would have been neat having them and possibly OPHS play.

I was at the game tonight for a bit. I really just wanted to see mingo play. Though, when I asked random guys around me of what they thought about Mingo, they gave me some blank stair and asked "who?". They then went as far to talk about random guys from the STM squad that looked like 1-AA mcneese caliber at best.

Where were you guys? Maybe I was in the true "STM-homer alley"

Listening to the game on the radio, Mingo was all the field.

What a great game.

I believe WM was the better team and it showed in the 2nd half, BUT hats off to STM. They are one of the best coached teams Ive seen play. I dont think they had one false start or offsides penalty all night. Their kids were undersized but they played like they were all D-1.

Congrats to STM on a good season.

Mingo, Banks, and Abrams all looked like huge D1 guys last night.

Mingo: made plays all night including a blocked punt where he blocked the punt fell down was able to get back up scoop it and run it in. He also had numerous sacks and tackles for loss.

Banks- had some bad passes but my god did he make some plays running the ball. Including one of the craziest runs by a QB ive seen in long time that covered about 85 yards in which he cut left and right and was spinning all over the field.

Abrams- man did he run with some determination after we were down 21-0. He ended the night with 227 and 2 tds. He told me after the game that his motivation was Kevin Foote's articles in the Lafeyette paper and getting over the 2nd round curse.

What is up with WM making so mistakes and penalties the last few years? Don Shows is not nearly as hard as he was when he was younger.

STM is known for winning games by out-coaching you,out scheming you, and making corrections at the half because they are more times than not undersized in almost every game. Especially now that they are in 5A. That is why we lose in the playoffs, because sooner or later size of players do matter and that is where we fall short.

WM's head coach came to WM when I was a senior in Feb. 1989 and he was sharp. He and his coaching staff for years into the 2000's did not miss a beat. Today they do and that is because Shows is in his late 60s.
