Why isn't Lorenzo Phillips a LB take this year?

I thought Lorenzo Phillips left LSU on good terms and just had to get his academics in order. Anyone know why we are not pursuing him as a OLB this class? Seems we are one transfer or injury away from being really thin next year. He would come in as a redshirt junior, 2 to play 2.

He might be. They've been looking at him.

He's on the LSU board. Not sure if anyone knows where at this point.

Are you that stupid or just trying to be an a-hole?

I thought he just played a redshirt year here? That's hardly enough time to shine. By your reasoning, we should just pull Cliff Garrett's scholarship now and send him home.

In his 2nd year here he was behind all the other sophomore LBs including Kwon, Debo and Lamar. He also fell behind true freshman Duke Riley.

He was here for 2 years, not 1

Bennie Logan should have been dismissed by this ill-logic.

Dude, go play in the backyard on your swingset. What a dope.

Completely different.

Sorry I am stating facts, he was literally behind just about EVERYONE when he was here and able to play, why would Phillips be a better take than someone new who could come in and compete? Phillips would be coming in to compete against the same guys till he graduates that he couldnt beat out previously.

I love it when idiots start talking like this. This is when I close my eyes, shake my head, walk away and laugh a bit under my breath.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about and the Logan comparison proves that.

Phillips was behind 4 guys at OLB that were THE SAME CLASS he is or younger when he was here.

4 guys. Not seniors, not juniors, sophomores or younger.

Phillips has a skill-set better than of the current LBs on this roster have: he can rush the passer.

Again,

Can't tell if you are clueless or just an a-hole.

He may or may not be a take, but your "guys in front of him" logic leaves us wanting less.

Your swingset is waiting. Go play!

When has Chavis ever wanted an OLB to rush the passer?

His skillset had him behind everyone who was a sophomore when he was here his 2nd year and even a true freshman.

Says the guy who clearly had no idea what he was talking about making a Logan comparison.

It's really simple, he was behind EVERYONE who was a sophomore and even a true freshman when he was here. Why would we bring back a guy who struggled so much against similar aged players?

He's not a take, he has no offer. Really that simple.
