Shep also thinks he will be a QB at LSU

And tell us old sage one what position does he play at LSU? I was under the impression it was QB. In fact, isn't that why he chose to come to LSU? He has all the skills you want in a QB.

1. Leadership (Obvious) A+
2. Hard worker (Worked with Blake to imrpove. Enrolled early to get extra work) A
3. Team first (Willing to play where needed in the interim) A.
4. Arm? (That remains to be seen. However, nothing so far has indicated he cannot be able to pass as well as Pat White, Terrell Pryor, Parker Wilson, Tebow and many other NCAA QB's. Did Mauck and Flynn have cannons?) B. C at the minimum.
5. Escapeability (Obvious) A+
6. Size (Slight at this time. However, with proper weight training should gain good weight and stength. The most impressive QB play I saw this year was Todd Reesing of Kansas who is 5
' 11" , 190+ lbs junior) D

Take an average to better arm out of high school, a size that can project to 6' 2" 200 lbs,add top of the line coaching, along with the superior leadership, selflessness, hard worker who loves the position, what do you get? (A new & improved Pat White?) I see championship winning QB. This kid will make himself a great QB as long as that is his goal. Now his first year, he may play in any number of positions, (QB, RB, WR, PR, KR) to put pressure on the defense. As a result he may decide he prefers another position. However as a soph, after he has improved his passing and added the size and strength, look out!!! The SEC better beware this QB!!! He, along with Jefferson, will wreck havoc on the SEC.

Good post! Size isn't that big a deal in college FB except for pure pocket passers. I say he's C (average) at worst in that dept and he IS just an incoming freshman as you point out.

To answer your question. Byron Moore is a possibility

You are right. Patrick Peterson was similar in size to Shepard when he finished high school, and had transfromed into a 205 lb'er by the fall. I expect the same with Shepard. By the fall he'll be close to if not more than 200 lbs.

GIVE IT UP ON DEBOSE. You have no chance and neither does anyone else still recruiting Andre Debose. The guy is taking an official visit to Florida this weekend, was here two weeks ago on an unofficial and was recruiting for us last weekend. How do you say in another thread that you have a 25% chance to get him? It might not have been you but it was someone else and everyone seemed to agree.
