When does recruiting dead period before signing day start?

Anyone know when last face to face contact or phone contact for potential recruits is?

Dead period is only about face to face. All other comms allowed.

Gotcha. Thanks. So coaches can be calling and texting kids as they are walking up to the podium to make their announcement ?

Does Face Time count as face to face?

Can a coach send a video?

Dead and quiet periods are about in person contact with recruit or their parents, so they can do face time, etc, if the recruit wants.

Coach O does FaceTime a lot. FaceTimed Landon Jackson at the Heisman. I think he learnt it from Pete Caroll. His son was Recruiting Coordinator and he was the first NCAA recruiter to have a Facebook and instagram account.
