he doesn't really fit their mold of halfbacks (he could possibly play the upback at GT)

Seastrunk must be in the bag for you all to turn this kid away. He looks like a stud to me.

I honestly think he is going to end up one of the better backs to come out of this class. All he does is play some of the best competition around and produce. Great size and decent speed. He already looks like an SEC back.

He is going to be a hell of a back for someone.

Georgia 2A is the best ball around? He has moved this year to a better school, but he played Georgia 2A before.

Storm is putting up numbers in 4A, doesn't play 2A any longer, he will be great back for who ever gets him.

Sorry, PS: for those who keep asking why no offers from GT or UGA, he made it very clear he wants to go out of state...

Any interest? 2nd game 230 yards, 25 carries, 4TD's, 1 reception 15yards.

Storm Johnson has looked very good so far. In his first game, he had over 300 total yards and a couple of TDs. In his second game this past weekend, he had the stats mentioned in the post above this one plus an 85-yard TD run that was called back.

His speed looks good to me. The only possible drawback I see with him is a lack of acceleration, that quick first step.

He has never been crazy about Florida State. Storm seems to be locked in on Penn State right now and is trying to arrange a visit with them. He canceled a West Virginia visit and says he is not sure if he will visit Florida State again, so it seems like Penn State is his target.

Some interesting quotes from Storm:

On LSU:
quote:

“They wanted to see if I was going to be the tailback they needed,” Johnson said. “They had a handful of guys they were recruiting. I know they got a commitment from this dude in Ohio, I believe. They just wanted to see if I was the right fit for them. But I’m, like, stuck in the dry if they don’t pick me. So, I mean, rather than sitting here and waiting to see if [LSU] is going to pick me, I’m opening mine up. So if it’s to be, it’s to be. If not, it’s not.”

If LSU came back and offered would he be interested:
quote:

“Probably not.”

This thread is oozing with retard.

We didn't take Johnson because Ware was higher on our board.

Georgia wanted Calhoun. They were a little slow in offering and in the meantime he visited LSU and never looked back. Georgia did not wait long, we just jumped on him quickly.

Unfortunately your info about character issues re: Storm are wrong. No character issues, No grade issues. Good kid. Team player. Just angry coaches and fans becase he left Buford without a RB. Everyone justifies that the white boy was better. He wasn't. Buford promised his parents that they would help him get a SEC scholarship. so they sacrificed Storm limiting his carries to 10 a game and sitting him for 3 games so the other boy could catch up in stats, making it look even...People will continue to trash him...I don't think he or his family are worried about that..right now he is tearing up the field...a man among boys...whereever he goes.. he'll do well...I wish it could have been LSU.

Good luck to him wherever he goes. The fact is, the coaches liked Ware better. I'm happy with that choice too.
