Yeah, the usc poster (usc in his name) has been counting burfict out for a long time due to grades. Interesting........

Daniel Campbell was all USC last year, but didn't make grades and went to a prep school. Now he's listing USC and Miami as his top two.

Burfict has been struggling in the classroom, but he's lights out on the football field. Easily the best linebacker of this recruiting class. If he makes grades, he's all SC. If not, he may well be a Sun Devil. The academic requirements at ASU are much less stringent than at SC.

I believe with Manti Te'O eliminating BYU that he's all SC. That doesn't make the possibility of losing Burfict any more appetizing, but it sure doesn't hurt. Te'O is a big acquisition.

I have seen this kid burfict live, he is big, fast and mean. his forty time does not reflect his gametime speed. this kid is everywhere on the field. he led his school to cali's version of a state title. my cousin's stepson goes to school with him and says he is a good kid, very focused

Shouldn't we send flowers to Petey?

why is USC all of sudden having these deflections?

Are there rumors floating around that Pete will leave or will the program go on probation?

That is like 5 top players that have uncommitted late in the game here....seems unusual for a program like USC

Maybe the players are hearing how bad the economy is in LA...doom and gloom is lingering around

Actually happans every year. I think it is partly a function of folks seeing other big time recruits who have signed or fraom last years class waiting in the wings. Some want to complete and willing to wait if that be the case and some not willing to do so. Then there are grade issues

think the allure of USC has been tarnished the last few years with recruits realizing that USC will never win another National Championship without a perfect season. The Pac 10 has been exposed and USC no longer gets any respect from the pollsters or computers. The paper dynasty has imploded

Not true as far as recruits are concerned.

Expect to hear Devon Kennard the 5 star DE (ranked 1st at the position) commit to USC tomorrow.

Manti Te'O, the 5 star LB (rivals #2 LB) is also considered a strong USC lean after dropping BYU from consideration.

The bad news for USC is that DB Byron Moore has officially decommitted from SC in favor of Notre Dame, and WR Alshon Jeffrey may decommit also in favor of Tennessee.

The good news is that another 5 star LB who remains committed to USC, Vontaze Burfict, is likely to honor that committment, and his grades are now expected to be good enough to get him into school this year.

As many LSU fans are aware, we are still right in the mix for XSF, having already landed a commitment from fellow Utah native John Martinez.

Not all doom and gloom after all.
