247's rankings of our 2025 commits are so far behind compared to On3. I didn't notice it until recently, but damn...

I find it funny that Berry is #58 and Bordelon/Lafleur are 3* average players. That tells me everything I need to know about these so called “experts”.
When LSU does an extensive evaluation, offers and someone commits at OL, WR, and RB with this staff, our history, and the overall success at these positions, they should automatically get reevaluated by all these sites with a bump to their ranking. It’s proven that LSU is different recruiting these positions, with the additions of Brian Kelly for the OL/TEs, Frank Wilson for RBs and just Louisiana/ LSU period for the WR position.
I would also say CB, Safety and now QB with Sloan but the secondary has taken a dip so we’ll need a boost with our new defensive staff before I say that. I can guarantee that CBK is looking at who will be able to recognize, recruit and develop at all levels of the defense. Similar to what he has on offense.
My question is why didn’t it work out with the previous staff and have they identified what the issue was that created such a failure on defense? It’s a little hard for me to believe that he missed on every hire on the previous staff, so there has to be more to it than they were all just bad coaches. Hopefully they’ve identified what went wrong and are hiring accordingly. If that’s the case then we should see great improvement/ progress next year and even in the offseason. They definitely need to do a better job identifying their strengths and weaknesses in the offseason so we aren’t all surprised with the outcome.

I'll believe and become excited when we sign them all, until then it's just a grain of salt
