guys Bama will finish with atleast the number 2 class in the nation. they already have 2 5 stars. they lead handily for DK, Randle is 50/50, and once the entire nation lays eyes on Nico Johnson, he will likely receive a significant bump in the rankings. i think he has every bit of the ability that any linebacker on the board has. he is a stud to say the least. so that could give them 5. add in another guy like massie and thats 6. so its gonna be close. could be the best 2nd place recruiting class ever. time for a runner up national champion recruiting shirt??

because usually on scout, they base their ranking on the quantity of the recruits and not the quality.

Not at all. There have been years where it's been the other way around. I think Scout's is better.
One team has 1 5 star. The other has 20 4 stars. Which is better? Rivals says the former and Scout says the ladder. It's obvious which one is correct.

What if a team that had 15 4 stars, 10 3 stars, and 5 2 stars was ranked above a team that had 15 5 stars and 10 4 stars?

I'm not sure of the formula, but of course there is a Quantity * Quality equaton they have.

I think Scout does something equivalent to awarding 5 points for a 5 star recruit, 4 for a 4 star recruit, etc, which I think is the best way to do it.
