This years recruiting class

LSU finish 5th with 25 recruits
Clemson finishes 10th with 29 recruits
Clemson has beaten Bama in 2 out of 3 NC games. Clemson classes are usually not much higher than this one. And yet they have 2 NC wins over Bama.
LSU has a good class this year. Yes we are light on DL this class. However generally it is a very good class.
We have returning DL that should be better this year, and next years class is loaded with DL. Sure Bama will get their share but we need to stop focusing on what Bama does and focus on what we do have and coach them up. Clemson does this every year. They don’t worry about Bama classes and neither should we.

I think the difference is OL/DL coaching.
That’s all we lack from becoming an elite team if we can close on a great OL/DL next year.

Well, that and QB play. They signed the #1 QB last year and he lived up to the hype.
