6/22 is more than 1/4. So I guess technically one could claim it’s nearly 1/3.....

We get to decide when our spring game is, right? This seems to be a huge tactical error. It's a recruiting event as much as it is a scrimmage. It doesn't make sense to make recruits that are choosing between us and Bama pick a spring game to go to.

Well hopefully it determines who is serious about coming here and who wants to go to Bama.

Just doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

A lot of these kids don't know what they want. Some may see one spring game, see the other then decide that LSU is a better fit. No reason to make them make a choice right now. Get them in the door for this event whether it's the week before or after Bama's.

Some guys may be legitimately 51/49 in favor of Bama but they get to take a bigger lead because both spring games are on the same day.

If a spring game made that much of a difference Nebraska would have the #1 class every year.

I'm just speaking on LSU's reality, not anyone else's.

We have to put ourselves in the best position to get every recruit. Bama's our #1 competition. Don't think scheduling a major recruiting event in the same weekend as Bama's is in service of that goal.

How about any other weekend? Would doing that be that hard?

It has nothing to do with the spring game, or beating them on the field, Sopsher was never coming to LSU. It has everything to do with a couple of people in Amite, and a couple of guys on the Alabama staff with connections to that area guiding these kids there. The only reason Lee would end up here is if Bama doesn’t push for him.

These are young guys that are easily led. It is the rare guy that wants to play for his state/city. If Alabama is where these kids think they can get the most “glory” then that is where they will go.

That's a defeatist take on the situation.

I thought Orgeron was here to change all of that. I don't want to hear all of this "he was never coming here" and "you can lead a horse to water" crap. Orgeron was supposed to change the paradigm.

IMO he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt when he gets in his own way with things like this.

Someone asked about Kenyon Green. He's supposed to be at the Texas spring game. So are Noah Cain and Marcus Banks.

Couldn't agree more, if he doesn't want to play for his home state then good riddance. We'll find players that want to wear the Purple and Gold. The guys visiting this weekend look like a fantastic group to me, could care less about chumps that want to be gumps.

You say that about all the out of state kids who come to play for LSU? Of course not. It’d be a loss. But hey, do me a favor and tell me more about how you could care less?

It’s scary some of our fans have that attitude. Orgeron was mainly hired to land these players.

As the saying goes; "You can bring the horse to water but you can't make him drink!" If he goes its not because our coaching staff never made the effort.

Yay for trying.

Really? Scary? You need some therapy, and that is coming from a psychologist.

Actually it may be better that some of our targets didn't see the spring game.

O may be smarter than us after all.
