I would like to see the Miles/Saban National Championship ratio even out just a bit. This would be the greatest boost to recruiting, IMHO.

recruiting is like chasing women for us recruitniks....
we have a solid past of banging lots of really hot chicks after we hit puberty in 2003, but the memory of the 90's or lack there of causes our insecurities to flare when a smoking hot chick chooses another guy. we feel that all is lost, our dicks are too small, we arent funny enough and will now have to settle for IRL 3's. then something magical happens and we forget about said chick when we get another smoking hot chick the next week.
moral of the story is that NOBODY can bang every hot chick in the world, all broads are different and have their own taste.

The real truth is, we sign, on average, 4 stars and bama signs the 5 stars - and that's about
as simple as it gets.

Be careful in referencing a player's intelligence. It's football not rocket science or even public speaking. There have been many good football players who were terrible public speakers. Many players sound terrible when put in front of a microphone. Some of these guys actually knew the game despite their shortcomings. Take Hall of Famer Ricky Jackson as one example. Ricky had great natural football instincts.

Just for fun, I am going to disprove this drivel.
2013: AVG. Stars- Bama/3.84 LSU/3.73
2012: AVG. Stars- Bama/3.77 LSU/3.36
2011: AVG. Stars- Bama/3.91 LSU/3.64
I could go on, but it is pointless.
Most of the time we have about the same number of five star players in each class. If there is a difference, then it is between 3 and 4 star players.
Answer me this: if Alabama recruits so much better than LSU, yet LSU manages to win or at least play competitively with Alabama, does that make Les Miles a better Xs and Os coach than Saban?
