As it should be. It helps that LSU is going deeper into Texas and gathering recruits, the potential recruits from the nth years class will appreciate having many Texas players on the team, that and some of their past teammates.

It definitely helps that Mack has loosened his grip, he better step his game up or he will start losing a fair share of the top players in Texas, even those he wants.

Jeffcoat has got to be the son of former Dallas Cowboys #1 draft pick and DE(100 plus career sacks) Jim Jeffcoat.

He's a family friend and the son of HOF o-linemen Bruce Matthews...unfortunately he's not in to LSU. Since his dad went to USC, if they offer he's probably theirs.

Rumor is that Killens will be at the LSU/Alabama game.

Yes, yes, it would. Right now, a year and a half away from their signing day it looks good. Hurd really, really likes it here. Said he feels comfortable at LSU.

Although Toney likes LSU he has seen some other schools that has made him change mind a bit.

Given what OU did to them last year, I'd say it is too late to stop that from happening.

Being in on 4 of the top 7 in Texas is amazing. It wasn't that many years ago when we wouldn't be in on 4 of the top 7 in Louisiana, much less Texas. I say we have no chance @ getting Jeffcoat, but I sure hope I am proved wrong. We have to really go back & say it all started w/ Saban being able to close the La. border to outsiders, but at the same time, making gains in other states. We must keep this up to stay in the Top 5 of recruiting AND Top 5 at the end of the season standings.
