Who would win if these two were to go head to head. I think Surtain would shut him down with that range of his. Hopefully both end up in purple and gold at the end of the day.

How about 4 years? All this 3 year mindset shite is why we can't get back to being elite. It's ingrained in our top recruits' heads & stays there regardless if they live up to the hype or not (Malachi Dupre, Kevin Toliver, etc.). I realize this isn't unique to LSU, but we've got to start shifting the narrative.

It’s one of our biggest selling points to recruits, if not the biggest. We can’t afford to shift that narrative

Surtain vs Marshall?

Olympus would be jealous.

Just filthy to get these two.

Well Joseph is a safety

But all four will be at LSU.

Seems that way.

Whether or not a quarterback can get Marshall the ball is another thing entirely.

Just pointing out how these two are elite prospects at opposing positions..

Have to wait on Brennan and Narcisse. I feel good about Gunnell...

I hope you are correct.

The key to everything is the QB and the OC.

You can at least shift it a little. Still sell the NFL and most players on rosters, but don't stress the 3 & done. Start emphasizing the draft grade submission and following the recommendations of the experts to maximize your earning potential by being drafted in the top rounds instead of 4-6.

Can't really shift the narrative. These kids have that mindset from jump. It comes from schools, family, friends and culture as a whole. Just look at the early entrant list and you'll see why it can't be changed. Probably 65-75% of the kids that left school early shouldn't have.
Also a good example of the mindset is in basketball. A much easier sport to make the jump, physically at a minimum. Yet those kids really believe they are ready to jump immediately to the league and physically, mentally and skillfully compete with guys established in the league. Most of them either fail completely or strongly damage their development. Basically wasting the natural ability they have because they fracture their psyche early on in their careers. They are so uses to dominating that they are overwhelmed and sometimes never recover from it.

As for Surtain and Marshall, they both win some and lose some. Even average receivers can beat an elite corner some. Just the nature of the game.

Pretty sure the Recruiting Board said the coaching staff cooled on him.

I know this is just one day out of many for these guys to compete against each other, but was anyone else not that impressed with Joseph in the video? Thought Marshall and surtain both look really good tho
