I say that is a solid assessment based on lots of factual information. Clearly you are highly educated and prone to strongly rational thought.

I disagree with this. Why shouldn't we expect that. Obviously the talent level in LA in a given year has a huge bearing on this, but given LA's location, even with subpar instate talent, there is enough talent within a 6-7 hrs drive of Baton Rouge to expect this every year or at least every 3 out of 4.

Based on rivals rankings since 2002, we have 4 out of 8 classes finishing lower than top 5. 3 of those were out of the top 10.

So either your expectations are too high or you think Miles and Saban aren't very good recruiters. Get used to disappointment.

Honestly, I don't know. Probably between 20-25. I hope we go light this year to prepare for 2011 which is looking outstanding.

Just one person's view , but don't you think it's a wee bit erly to make these types of assessments?
Sure don't....It's a recruiting board. I don't get why you people come here and talk about how its too early to talk about certian things, thats what recruiting is.

How you think that class of 3027 is shaping up?

Yeah because talking about this current class is the same as that.

Our team this year has alot to prove on the field and off. Meaning, recruits noticed we didnt do so well last year. Most if not all have discarded that season as unfortunate and due to special circumstances. We have alot riding on this year for our record, reputation, and recruiting. The best recruiting tool in the world is winning.

So, its way too early to assume anything at this point. Evaluations are very incomplete at this time as far as the recruiting sites go. The state talent is lower than last year, but we have much more interest from out of state players. We will do just fine. Its absurd to try and predict how well our class will be, but most would agree it should be close to or within the top 10. A good season this year will go a long way.

I think what is more important is that we are addressing needs early on, that we didnt address as much last year. We are off to a good start.

Last year
1 FB
1 S
1 WR
0 CB
0 TE
2 Ath

This year
1 FB
1 S
0 CB
1 WR
1 TE
1 Ath

People still look at the junk rivals post? I thought everybody smartened up to them.

I guess it's a good think we didn't have the #1 class then.

Why would you stop looking at the only ranking worth looking at? Just because someone else has your team ranked higher doesn't mean they are bad....

I didn't know "athlete" could be a position of need.

Well Xeno, let me clear it up for you, since its coming along a little slow for you today.

Athlete in this instance (if you know which players I am talking about) could address CB/S/WR/RB. All of those positions were needs. Hows that.

M. Claiborne - WR/S/CB
D. Calhoun - WR/CB/RB

T. Simon - WR/CB/S.

Do you get it now. Is it clear enough for you now.

Do it with someone he might be familiar with...like Harvin.
