during the AU screen, the rant would rather have had keiland truck the defender on teh 20 yard line and get tackled.

it shows he's one tough SOB and will PAPOW you. that's what being a RB is

436 yards for a RB is stellar? Really?

KW has never averaged more YPC in any season than Charles Scott.

almost a full second faster than storm

First you said 10.5....now 10.9? And it was almost 2 years before KW signed with LSU..

BTW, why do you keep posting just 1 of Storm's times?

after gaining 20 yards

if he gains 20 yards all the time i don't care if defenders take a shite on him afterwards

keiland is an upright runner. he's never going to juke guys in a major way. he can, however, set up guys. just watch the AU video

tap, i know you can't read well, so here's my statement again

he also ran sub 11, 100m dashes in high school. as stated earlier, he ran many in the 10.5 range

I read fine. KW still isn't stellar up to this point. Hester & Scott both were. KW has been too much dancing, not enough power through the holes.

how was hester steller? he was workmanlike and got a bunch of carries

scott > hester
keiland > hester

hester's most efficient use was by jimbo in 2006. look up his yards per touch when he was playing h-back

Keiland is not better than Hester, that's ridiculous SFP. Guys who can do well on sissy plays like screens and options are a dime a dozen. Keiland might as well be 185lbs if he can only do that.

Dude, that was perfect blocking by Black and Johnson. Yes Keiland set up the blocks OK, but that was nothing special.

Everyone on this board knows of your little Hester problem. Just remember "Hester is teh Bester!"

How is 4.7 YPC bester than 4.9 YPC in teh 2007 National Championship season?

No, DMac was anything but soft. When he got through the line, sometimes he would actually punish people if necessary. I never once saw him run for the sidelines like Keiland.

Bush, why bring him up? Totally different type of talent from Williams. Bush makes people miss, much more explosive, etc. Come on SFP with that weak comparison.

It was a good move, but come on man, it's not like it was Reggie Bush like.

Yes, Keiland is better than Scott when they're 30 yard downfield. Too bad when you play good defenses, you're likely in that situation once a game or so.

DMac went down on first contact generally. he had no power b/c he had chicken legs

not really

quote:

Bush, why bring him up?

because you are using the keywords for, "you need a big bruising back who goes POW" to win in CFB

quote:

Bush makes people miss, much more explosive, etc.

but these are "sissy" plays, correct?

it's all about use and getting your playmakers in space

just look at UF last year. they had a bunch of 180 lb running backs who owned CFB. and they will this year too

many more championships have been won recently with speedy/shifty backs (08 UF-rainey/harvin, 05 UT-charles, 04 USC-bush, 03 LSU-vincent, 01 UM-portis, 99 FSU-minor) than power backs (07 LSU-hester, 02 OSU, clarrett). 2 teams won with the spread and lack of relying on a running game (06 UF and 00 OU)

here's the breakdown:

power: 2
speed: 6
spread: 2

it's true

he's a really good h-back. a versatile guy.

many rantards hated the fact that we relied on him on 3rd downs a lot. this became really big after his fumble against AU was ruled an incomplete pass, killing that drive
