You can't just snap your fingers and make those players exist in your recruiting territory, not even a 3 star. There's like a dozen WRs in LA this year that will go to D1 schools. Contrast that with the slim pickins there's been at DT over the last few years.

I think most college teams try and take 1-2 qb 2-3 wr 4-5 ol 4-5 dl 2-3 lb 4-5 dB and 1 kicker, 1-2 rb.

Why? LSU is not a poor program. The SEC is getting ridiculous and LSU needs to step their game up. Bottom dwellers like Ole Piss and MSU are the best teams in the SEC right now. It seems like everyone in the SEC is getting better at recruiting.

Yes our linebackers are not really SEC material. Beckwith and Alexander are the only really physically talented guys out there. Hopefully, Garrett comes through next year. I would look at moving Corey Thompson to LB; he is physical and is bigger than some of our backers. We might need to go the JUCO route here.
