How many of you guys think he is the answer at QB for us? I sat next to an LSU fan at the Bama game and he said that there was no way he was the answer at QB. Are yall excited because of what he brings to the table no matter what position he plays? Or do yall think he is our future at QB? I believe he is our future at QB plus I love who he is as a person from what I've read. Just trying to get opinions of others who are more informed.

I think he can be our future at QB. WILL he? I don't know. I just think he has the tools to be great. He's obviously got a tremendous work ethic and sense of of leadership. I really think he'll be a great QB. Now I still look for Garrett/Lee to come up and change the pace.
Look at it this way, we could very easily have 4 guys on the field at once with legitimate QB arms. (Shep, Garrett/Lee, Randle, Debose) Think of the potential plays.

Shep is the first QB that is actually made to fit the crowton offense. RP would have been perfect, but he didn't stay in school. Lee is a pocket passer (who looks bad inside and outside the pocket), and he doesn't fit well. Garret is a pocket passer as well, and I personally think he should have gone elsewhere. Its really a battle between JJ and RS. I think RS will win out and be a full starter by his soph year. OR im completely wrong.

You're going to be completely wrong b/c JL will be our starting qb the next 3 years. He will get better as he learns how to read defenses.
