I honestly dont know what to expect but it seems as though he's been a loser everywhere he's been. People talk about age old or young, Joe Brady was hired based on potential and he soared, this guy here seems as though he's been a loser for decades and favors the old LSU style which would explain why Zeke had so many carries his first couple of years. While I understand that he isnt the OC, Im just curious to know what he told or showed Coach O to get the job! One can only hope that it works out because on paper this hire doesnt make sense at all!

I like Thompson too, but do you know just how good Caleb could be if he was coached up by Linehan? Caleb will be the next Russell Wilson if he comes her.

Linehan is sought after by nobody. Does he know football? Yes. Is he young, innovative and can adapt to in game college high tempo spread? No.
Is Urban Meyer a good spread coach?
FYI: When Urban was at Notre Dame and wondering how to update an offense that was not effective, he went to Linehan to learn the spread offense that Linehan was running at Louisville circa 1999-2001.
Laughing at all the fools who think the spread is a new fangled offense, it actually has roots back to the 1930s and first seen in a shotgun formation in the 1950s.

Its a matter of finding the right coach.

Not true at all. While he has a terrible Head Coaching record with the St. Louis Rams after the most of the pieces of the Greatest Show on Turf were gone. The three head coaches that followed him struggled just as bad.
