So you feel that players reach their full potential under Miles? I do not. I dont want him fired, I like the guy, but if your goal is to go to the NFL (especially on the D), you would have to turn a blind eye to Saban and his abilities.

How about guys named Dorsey, Steltz, Jackson, Zenon, Highsmith?

Most of those studs were Louisiana studs - born and raised. They would have been wearing purple and gold anyway.

No updates on Fluker other than a BOL article in which it says he will take visits (which includes LSU) but I figured since it was a BOL article it would automatically be ignored. Anyway, I figured eveyone knew that Miles was still recruiting Fluker.

Point is, everyone getting up in arms about Saban coming to LA to recruit is dumb. He's a coach, recruiting is part of his job and he gets paid to do his job. I wouldn't expect Miles to sit on his arse and not try to recruit kids from Alabama and I don't get pissed off if I hear about him visiting a kid over there or trying to recruit him.

It's really not a big deal, but b/c it's Saban and b/c he happens to be a good recruiter and coach, everyone assumes he's trying to just steal players from LSU. The guy is trying to get the best players to play for him, what coach doesn't try and do that? He doesn't have a vendetta against LSU like some in this thread seem to think.

They'll never get it. Saban isn't targeting LSU's recruits, he's targeting good college prospects.

Fluker is the only one closely similar to Davenport.

Kirkpatrick might be a lock but he's not committed.

Kelly is not a commit or a lock. I'm not even convinced he's 60% to Bama right now.

He is oh so desperately trying to build inroads to Louisiana because he knows if he can take LA kids away from LSU it will hurt LSU bad

This is a true statement and continue to get worse and worse every year that Miles is the coach.

riiight, but guys like spears, hill (RIP but he wasnt all pro before he passed), vaughn, clayton, lavalais...all those guys dominated in the NFL.

and I hate when ppl say, well he was signed by saban...like glenn dorsey. signed by saban, but you think miles wouldn't of signed him? coached by saban for one year, by miles for three.

I was never up in arms..just made a statement. Recruiting players uncommited is one thing. Recruiting players that havent showed interest in your program just because they are at LSU is sonmething else. We as fans have a right to our opinion even if you dont agree with it. Keep coming to a LSU board and you will find that a lot being the Gump you are.

Where's the Alabama fans to tell us that "Saban is relentless"? Relentlessly stupid is what he is. This is the lock of all locks.
I hate the fact that despite this being an LSU board, we are forced to follow Saban's every move and listen to every word that comes out of his mouth as if were some kind of Sage, or the POTUS.

That's what pisses me off about him being at Bama. I wish he would have gone somewhere like Arizona. Then we wouldnt have all this overlap for the rantards to capitalize on.

LSU fans have no right to throw that out seeing how the season went the second half of the year. Troy almost beat LSU. On topic, Saban still hasn't taken a player from LSU in LA that LSU really wanted except maybe Luther Davis depending on which side you want to believe.

If you REALLY want to be fair, Troy almost be LSU twice, once under Miles and once under Saban.

That can say a lot if you let it.

+1

Its his job. He has to recruit the best players and some of those are going to be in La (some of you should expect this since yall say LA high school football is so much better than AL high school football. I'm not disagreeing) He has to try to get the best players for his team. No worries when he comes to recruit our locks!
