Dmitch, LOL! my level of respect for you just went up another notch..
Amen, brother, I don't care much for Urban Cryer either...something about him
I am sure Cane fans and FSU fans have a better understanding of who he really is on the recruiting trail in Florida.

to me yeah saban is better. i dont understand why lsu peopel are mad with him. i did not follow lswu then so its maybe something i missed.
i could understand why miami dolphin fans would hate him.
my parents are not dumb and would know if someone is out to intentionally lie to one of their children and thus far saban or noone from bama has done that, that we know of.
by the way the urban thing was a joke, like i said just having some fun.
calling him scum was a joke anyway, i would still speak up if he wanted to go there

Saban haters are just ignorant.

Meyer is dirty in everything he does regarding his job. He runs up the score consistently with his first string (I think it'd be okay if he put the backups in, but throwing downfield with Tebow up 25 points is stupid), he recruits dirty, he lies to recruits..the guy is just dirty.

MY biggest problem with him is that he decided to go to one of our arch rivals in the SEC.

Good post dmitch, glad you see past all that BS surrounding Saban. All LSU fans should respect this man, he built our program to a national powerhouse and he has constantly admitted leaving LSU was the biggest mistake in his life.
I don't understand the hate towards him, I respect him a lot and honestly, I wish he was still our coach. Nothing against Miles, I just think Saban is a better coach.
And that is funny what you said about Oscar Meyer
but I'm with you on that. If their was a coach that shouldn't be respected, that is CUM IMO.

They always say you let loose what you really want to say when you've been drinking..
I usually find that to be the case, good or bad

only thing i don't really like about saban was the way he handled leaving miami. It would be one thing if he had just said, I'm considering Alabama, but he actually yelled at reporters when they would ask him and denied it to the fullest, then alabama got the price right i guess lol. most lsu fans just hate him because he makes a team in our devision not suck.

ok that makes sense. im not a dolphin fan so i did not know how that all wnet down either

Saban made a professional mistake leaving LSU, this is well documented.. He is a great coach, great recruiter..I respect him. He made LSU nation proud of their football again. We all loved him for that.
As an LSU fan, it still upsets me that he ended up at BAMA. The NFL we could handle even though he left on Christmas Day..Though we all knew Christmas Eve. The stake in the heart.
Jimmy Sexton asked him point blank before taking the Dolphins job.."do you want your legacy to more like a Don Shula or more like a Bear Bryant? He answered "Bear Bryant"...then days later he took the Miami job..
I read that in an article a while back..
The owner of Dolphins basically "recruited" Saban, (flew into BR twice) he didn't really want to leave..This is Saban's own words..in an interview..
And LSU fans never wanted him to leave either..
It just a sad subject..and until a few more years pass, it will continue to be upsetting.
With Miles winning 83% of his games, a MNC,a SEC title finishing 11-2 3 straight seasons, finishing in the polls #5 #3 #! 1....not too shabby...
Miles was handed a Lamborghini...to this point, he is done very well, and is well received now by the fans, although this season with a Freshman Qb, fans are anxious.. Success is hard to handle sometimes.. The Hat just smiles and goes about his business
I think the biggest difference is public image..
Saban has a sense of being in control of the situation... Miles sometimes gives off a different image... This is a fans perspective
I have heard the players love Miles (players coach)...In the long run, I think Miles has longer staying power. His act doesn't grow old, Saban's does, from media to administration to boosters to the players, Saban is a machine. Fans love that about him, but for those under his command, it's a hard life..
Saban is a builder and moves on to a new challenge.. I believe he will stay a BAMA for a while .
Thanks for continuing to come on here Dmitch.. All the best
